We had been keeping an eye out for a new laptop, and doing some price matching. Then I saw an unadvertised deal in Wal-Mart. They had a Toshiba Satellite L355-S7835 laptop for 598 (link is to Amazon, as the Wal-Mart website does not show the laptop). The cheapest I could find the laptop for on the net was just over 730. One thing I love about this laptop is its huge 17" screen and full size keyboard. The only downside I have found is that it does not have firewire built in, so I had to pick up an $80 express card that will allow me to hook up my video camera via firewire.
